Cradle of Aviation Mobile Site

Cradle of Aviation Mobile Site

Creating a mobile website can be a large task. This project needed to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, informative, and accessible to those that may not be as familiar with technology. Creating a website specifically for the Cradle of Aviation, an air and space museum in New York that I have frequented since I was little, means that most users would be potentially technology-illiterate parents. As such, the user interface needed to be easy to understand and use.

The design process always starts with research. I took a lot of inspiration from existing museum websites and how they presented information to the viewer in a communicative and appealing way. From there, I sketched out my wireframes, made prototypes in Adobe XD, and started work on coding. The whole website was done manually in HTML and CSS, and in the end I was very pleased with how it turned out. The pages are easy to find and everything works as intended. The site as a whole is satisfying to use.
